My adventure last night,

9:45pm: A lone Siberian husky is hanging out outside the door of my Starbucks. I go investigage. He's a friendly bugger and Adam says he recognizes him from another time he was around and a co-worker, Anna, helped him back home. We play for a bit but a few times he gets too close to the highway and I decide to take him home.
10:15pm: Dean lets me punch out and my mom arrives with rope. I start walking him but it's a half hour walk so we give up and take a ride from Mom in her Escape. With the window down, he's loving the ride.
10:30pm: I try getting ahold of Anna with no luck. The phone number on the dog's tag brings me to the answering machine of a pet center that isn't open this late. We feed him some beef and hang out.
10:45pm: Anna calls back. Her parents know where the dog's from (he lives near them) but don't know the #, they can only describe the house. It's out on Medowlily Rd South (a really creepy street I might add, that I often drive to with friends just to freak ourselves out) and her family lives in Medowlily Rd North which is seperated by a walking-only bridge (or you can drive around but it takes a while).
11:30pm: After trying every creepy Texas Chainsaw Massacre house we give up. The first house had no one at it, second one a hill billy gave us serial killer eyes, next one didn't have a drive way, next one there were only little kids home too scared to answer the door late, next one was like a meth lab... We decide to drive around and try to find Anna's house. Call Dad, he looks up their last name and finds us the address.
11:40pm: Anna's mom walks with me over the bridge, past the drug dealers and child rapists, to the same house we were at before with the scared kids. We knock and a girl answers with her friends. We say, "We found your dog", she says "Oh, sorry, I thought you were breaking in before, we called the cops" and right on cue a cop car arrives.
12:00am: After explaining everything to the officer and stupidly asking him for a ride back to my mom's car (across a bridge that can't drive on, derrr..) I get home.
Right now: UGHHHHH I WANNNTT HIMMM BACCCCKKKK.

Hi all,

Lots of exciting stuff since I last wrote.

Calvin and I are planning to go on a big trip to Ana Marie Island on the west coast of Florida in March.  (My vote was for Savannah, Georgia to go see Paula Deen live, but.. I got overruled!)
A bunch of us are also going up to my cottage near Huntsville, Ontario in, I guess, a few weeks.

There is going to be a big Boys vs Girls Iron Chef competition so we're already got plans in the making and I think it's clear the ladies will prevail.

My buddy Martha Westlake got engaged, woo! Also, my mom booked a nice gig doing flowers for my friend Tara White's wedding, so she's nice and busy doing all that flowery stuff that I know nothing about.

There's a big Superbowl party with wings and pop and all that lovely stuff I can't enjoy, tonight at GTA. We're busting down that building very soon so we've gotta rock the heck out of it until it's gone. Steph Whalley, I'm counting on you to bring the hummus!

We're also having a quaint little coffeehouse there featuring my very own espresso machine so if you're a coffee conessueir come give my piece a run for its money.

My dad turned 46 a few days ago and we got a Wii. Dang, my right arm hurts so bad from baseball.

I think it's next weekend that Poison the Well / The Chariot / Dance Gavin Dance will be in town at Call the Office. It'll be nice to see some old friends and good plant lovin' vegans :)

Also, August Burns Red is in Toronto next month on a tour that I can't remember. But I believe they'll be getting even closer to home some time in May.

Big huge metal tour coming to the JLC in May as well. The type of show I get roped into going to, more than anything. Not to say I don't love a good Children of Bodom song, but it's more so the vibe and the people there that I'm not a fan of.

There's a ton more cool stuff on the way but the kind of things I'm not supposed to say too much about until they happen so, Keep Ya Ears Open.

I had a photoshoot with Courtney Aldred last night and I still need to take off the makeup.

  God speed.

I just got back from the gym and I feel so good. My body was like "Amy, this is what you need! It's called exercise." I was like dang, it took me 20 years to figure that out.

I read something very interesting on moral philosophy by Plato last night, but the only version of it I can find online is in Hebrew so.. can't share that gem with you unless you have the text book for Philopsophy 201g or are a well educated Jew.

Tomorrow my agenda is: get glasses, hospital visit, volunteer, class.

Aside from Parkwood, I'm beginning a new program at Community Living London and trying for a position at a new journal put out by the Ontario Association of Food Banks. It's as though I'm at war with having spare time. Forget sleep and food, give me insomnia and starvation.

Wednesday my only agenda is drive to Steph's house and drive home three hours later. If there are cupcakes involved, I won't complain.

Thursday I will literally do whatever it takes to spend some time with Calvin. And by that, I mean play Rock Band for nine hours.

Friday the 1-18-08 movie comes out! I've been stoked for that since Transformers opening week!
